If you are a woman, you need to watch this video!

I can't even begin to tell you how strongly I feel about the subject of modesty. I lived 20 years not even knowing what the term meant, and I regret every minute of it; and the damage that my ignorance undoubtedly caused. Please, watch this video, and find out what men really think about modesty.

  1. Good video.Seems that today there is as much cleavage being exhibited in a church assembly as there is in any mall. What a shame.
I write and maintain a blog which I have entitled “Accordingtothebook” and I’d like to invite you to follow it.

  2. I'm sorry Kristi, but I can't hear the video because of the background music that's on your blog. BUT, I know that many young people never think about their actions, their immodesty. And even when young women aren't dressing in what we normally think of as 'immodest,' are they calling attention to themselves in other ways? cuz that is also immodest. It's not ourselves that we're to be calling attention to.

  3. If you scroll all the way to the bottom of my blog, you will see the purple music player, and you can pause the music!! :) You are SO right, it is NOT ourselves that we are to be calling attention to. We are supposed to be a light that shines in darkness. When people see us, they are supposed to see Jesus. That means modest dress AND actions, as you mentioned! And unfortunately, we are in a day and age where it crosses all generations. There are many 30-70 year olds who are dressing the very same way. :( We need our rolemodels to be modeling the right actions and dress!

  4. Sadly, our culture has taught women that, not only is it acceptable to dress immodestly, but when men lust after them it's the guy's problem, not theirs. They don't realize men are the first ones that will promote this view so that women will continue to dress provocatively and the guys can get their "cheap thrills". Women are also taught that their value is in their bodies, so they show them off as much as possible :(. We need to teach our girls that their value is in Christ alone, and they should behave in all things (including dress) to the glory and honor of God. As long as women attach their value to their looks, even in the church, immodesty will prevail.
