Project Organized Home~Serenity Frame

Okay, so I know it's been a l-o-n-g while since I did one of these posts, and I'm sorry. But what do you post about, when you are tearing apart your home to move it?! lol! I did find something to share with you today though. Something that I will be able to enjoy at my new home!

My Grandma Sheila gave me this beautiful frame and print last year. I love it so much! However, sometimes you just want a change. I was going to pack it the other day, when I decided I should change it up a little bit before I do so. I know I won't have time to do anything with it for a while after we move, so it's kinda now or never. Well, today was my chance! My back needed another break from packing, and luckily, I hadn't put up my scrapbooking stuff yet. With a little creativity, a few supplies, a computer and printer, I came up with this...

Now I get to enjoy one of my favorite prayers, with one of my favorite gifts! I just love it, and I can't wait to unpack it and hang it on the wall in our new house! It will be like a brand new item, because it got packed 5 minutes after I finished making it. :-) I just LOVE making these types of things. This is my 7th now, and I don't think it will ever get old. You don't have to open a book to enjoy them, you can make them for all kinds of occasions and people, and they make a home feel personal, and loved!

Hopefully, when we are settled in our new home, I will be able to post more about projects that make our home more organized and beautiful! Have a great weekend everyone!

  3. Have you seen the original, full version of this prayer? In case you haven't....

God, give us grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
    Courage to change the things
    which should be changed,
    and the Wisdom to distinguish
    the one from the other.

Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
    Taking, as Jesus did,
This sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that You will make all things right,
If I surrender to Your will,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with You forever in the next.

    Amen.
